We don’t often fall in love with modern places to stay, but this B&B  is a pleasant exception to the rule. Halfway between Utrecht and Amsterdam you’ll find this recently built house in a rural hideaway surrounded by private orchards, hence the names of the rooms: Apple (Appel), Strawberry (Aardbei), Cherry (Kers) and Pear (Peer). It doesn’t matter which one you choose as they’re all equipped with perfect beds, a sitting area and a small kitchenette. If we were forced to find fault with the place it would have to be the boring white tiles or the flat screen TVs that have been mounted far too high on the walls, which can literally be a pain in the neck!
