We discovered the only hostel on Curacao, in the heart of Marie Fleur, our favourite district of Willemstad. Six dormitory rooms are available at the Ritz Studios, which opened in April 2014. Four of the rooms offer two beds and two basic rooms contain four bunk beds each. You don't have to be a millionaire to stay here and ladies who'd like to keep men at a distance can book the 'female only' rooms. With a common kitchen, six showers, four toilets, a swimming pool and a TV room this is a Caribbean paradise for the budget-minded. Upgrading to more luxurious surroundings is easy, as this former ice-factory also houses 55 studios with more amenities and privacy.
