Located in the picturesque Riff Fort, Kandela is the latest addition to the lounge scene on Curacao. As the name suggests, cigars are the main attraction here and in the heart of the bar you'll find a bunker-style demonstration room stocked with a wide range of cigars, but choose carefully as some might require a second mortgage on your house. The whisky and rum selection is excellent and way beyond anything you'll find at pubs in downtown Willemstad. After making your selection, take a load off in one of the leather chairs, which are scattered about this attractive space that reminds one of an English gentlemen's club from a bygone era.
