Although the Dutch Caribbean may look like heaven on Earth, and it certainly is most of the time, not everyone can enjoy the fruits of this tropical paradise. A large number of the 90,000 kids who call these islands home are growing up in 'unsafe and unhealthy circumstances' according to a shocking investigation by UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund). The report concluded that many children are in a state of constant hunger and physical abuse by parents is often a daily part of life for many island children.
