Although it's not the most beautiful beach bar the island has to offer, it's one of the only one's in the area. The interior looks like it hasn't been renovated since Woodstock, but this lack of modernity lends it a certain measure of authenticity that's strangely appealing. Luckily the beers are cold, the terrace is huge, the salads are more than filling and the mussels steamed in Skuumkopke (a local brew) are simply fantastic. It's no wonder then that Paal 19 has been in operation for over 35 years. Did we mention the laid back atmosphere and the friendly staff? Recommended!
