Hotel Roemer

If we were incredibly wealthy, we wouldn’t buy an apartment in Amsterdam. We would just move into the Hotel Roemer, a four-star boutique hotel with a personal approach to all of its guests. Spread out over two renovated mansions in the Museum District, this place is cosy and warm, yet also stylish and luxurious. In three of the rooms you’ll have to make do with rainforest showers, but all others have their own private Jacuzzis and if you’d like a drink, don’t bother looking for a mini-bar. Just pour yourself a cocktail from the fully stocked bar, which is included in the price. An iPod docking station, Nespresso machine, wi-fi and TV with DVD player are also standard amenities here and a cottage is available in the Zen-like garden behind the hotel.
