Usually our reviews describe the décor of a restaurant, if the restaurant is smartly furnished and if the food is well presented. But we can't do any of that at Ctaste where patrons have their dinner completely in the dark. As you enter the lights are thankfully still on and you're informed about the special sensory experience you're about to embark on. You then follow the nearly blind waiter, who obviously doesn't have any trouble finding his way around in the pitch-black area, in single file. Three courses and an hour and a half later they ask you, back in the lounge, to guess what it was you've eaten. It's truly bizarre to have to execute all acts which usually are so familiar, in the dark. Simply taking a sip of wine becomes an experience. And although the portions are lean and the food is sometimes bland and even served lukewarm, it might just be something you should try at least once in your life.
