If you like organic food that’s sourced from local eco-friendly farms and don’t mind sharing the terrace with what looks like Amsterdam’s entire population of hipsters, then Café de Ceuvel is a great place to embrace your inner tree-hugger and eat a tasty meal while helping the planet. The funky pavilion is made from upcycled materials including old bollards from Amsterdam’s port and a lifeguard’s station, all meals are cooked using local biogas and some of the herbs and vegetables are grown on the roof of the structure. The café also hosts music concerts, seminars and movie screenings.
