A few steps from the Leaning Tower are the university's botanical gardens, a quiet and relaxing place where you can admire the magnificent plants, ponds, fountains, library and one of the oldest iron-framed hothouses in the world. The Pharaonic Collection, the Aquatic Plant Collection and the Gallery of Natural Objects are especially worth seeing. If you are a student, child or senior, admission is free every weekday morning.
