Naples Cathedral

The mixture of medieval French gothic and high renaisance Italian style of this church is typical of many in Naples. What's particular about this cathedral dedicated to San Gennaro, is that three times per year (the first Saturday in May, on September 19th and December 16th), a vial of containing the dreid blood of San Gennaro is brought out and liquifies in what's known as The Mircle of the Blood. If the miracle is not performed locals take it to be a sign that disaster will befall Naples.
