The villa was built in 1903 overlooking the cliffs at the edge of the park in Nervi and left to the city council by Matteo Luxoro in 1946.The family of collectors were particularly fond of 17th and 18th century Ligurian decorative art and most notably of an important collection of clocks, including sophisticated night clocks and pendulus. The museum is also home to a large assortment of Nativity crib figures which are hugely popular in Italy. In the museum you’ll also be able to see furniture, furnishings and material, silverware, ceramics and mirrors not to mention paintings and drawings all dating from the same period.
