Boccadasse

What was once a small fishing hamlet has now become one of the hottest tourist destinations in Genoa. Keep the sea to your right and walk to the end of Corso Italia. At the end you’ll find a church and some steps going down. There it is… Boccadasse, where time seems to have stopped still. Even if not so much fishing goes on there these days, the brightly painted houses, the cobbled streets, the fishing nets and up turned boats still look like a picture postcard. The Genoese love to stroll and eat ice-cream. You might prefer a beer at sunset, a meal to remember or a splash in the sea. It’s all there, and all minutes away from the bustle of the city centre. If you don’t want to walk get bus 31 from Brignole station.
