Located in an arched basement with an intimate atmosphere. There is a no-smoking room and a second, bigger one for smokers. Often crowded, Shavi Lomi is a legend on the Tbilisi dining scene, not all that big a surprise given that the food here is simply delicious. The cuisine is Georgian fusion and includes treats such as beef in Saperavi wine and beef stew in pomegranate sauce. Another interesting dish, not particularly popular in Georgia, is couscous. As a starter we recommend the Tushetian guda board, and as dessert, homemade apple pie. Their house wine is worth trying too.
