We love Ezo. It offers homey cuisine - just like mama makes - in combination with a good selection of home made wine. Ezo means ‘courtyard’ in Georgian and if you’re lucky enough to bag one of the tables outside, you’ll be eating in one of the many courtyards which are so typical to Tbilisi. Courtyard aside, Ezo also has two bright and colourful non-smoking rooms, a semi-open area and an equally beautiful room for smokers, with carpets on the floor and fresh flowers on the tables. The menu is Georgian, though it makes use of a twist of spice that would be considered experimental for standard traditional cuisine. The best chikhirtma (chicken soup) in Tbilisi here. Popular amongst locals, you will need to book, especially if you want a table in the courtyard.
