Opened in 1966, it initially housed North Pacific pinnipeds, fur otters and Caspian seals. There were also 60 species of fish from both freshwaters and seas around the world. Today it houses around 100 species of fish from the Black Sea, Georgia’s freshwaters and also a number of exotic and decorative species.
