Although this bar has been around for years, it's gone through multiple iterations, its staying power perhaps partly owing to its presence in a part of town that doesn't have many other watering holes. Located on the ground floor of an aparthotel (for which the bar serves as reception), Poli has a somewhat pub-by-numbers sterility to it, but the formula works. A multi-tap with excellent craft beer on ten taps, and plenty more in the fridge, Poli serves up legitimately delicious smash burgers, American-style sandwiches and deep-fried snacks. As far as beer and bar food goes, it doesn't get much better, and several teles, including a big projection screen in the back room, make this an ideal place to catch a match. Despite the walls of the front room being adorned with skillful but somewhat soulless murals, traces of Poli's previous life as the more racy 'Poligamia,' including some tasteless art in the back room, remain, creating an odd mix. With a foosball table and pile of boardgames on hand, Poli offers plenty, and pulls in a mix of foreigners and foreign-friendly locals. But it misses something essential that prevents it from being the great neighbourhood bar it should be: atmosphere.

A really good place to grab a pint, friendly atmosphere, nice, English speaking bartenders, confortable sofas, free wi-fi access, and a huge offer of local beers. Something you won't probably get anywhere else.
