This Saturday, Rosebank's premier art and design hub Keyes Art Mile opens the doors with new exhibitions,  new galleries, stylish stores, cafés, rooftop bars plus a buzzing programme of artist walkabouts, talks and performances. Spend the morning exploring, listening and watching, before heading for a drink or coffee solo or with friends. Your senses are in for a feast. We think this is one of the best ways to spend this Saturday in Joburg.

10:00 at Everard Read ­­– Join Neill Wright for a walkabout of his utterly absorbing colourful abstractions in his solo exhibition, A New Solitude.

11:00 at Studio Nxumalo, a new permanent gallery at Keyes Art Mile – Discover the process and inspiration behind Mfundo Mthiyane’s mind-bending new exhibition, A Book, as he joins Prof. Sharlene Khan in conversation.

11:00 at CIRCA – Artist Teresa Kutala Firmino presents an interactive performance at CIRCA for her solo exhibition The Owners of the Earth (Vissaquelo) that you don't want to miss. Her exhibition explores the space between trauma and fantasy, finding a place of hope and possibility.

12:00 at Origin Art – Join artists Aneesah Girie, Bevan De Wet and Tamara Osso for a walkabout.

13:00 at NichLuxe – Pop into Nich Luxe for a talk by literary heavyweight Zakes Mda on “South Africa’s Contribution to World Culture”.

It's a stellar art line-up this Art Saturday at Keyes Art Mille, and after this particularly challenging Joburg week we suggest you take it slow. Coffee at Croft & Go, maybe early lunch at Sotto Sopra, a burger for the kids at BGR, afternoon delight at Marble or pop into Mix Bar for a sundowner and delicious plates.
