This old Plac Nowy standby hasn't changed much over the years, but remains a reliable spot for decent, fairly-priced food and drinks. Open early for breakfast sets, and serving weekday lunch specials (from 12:00-17:00), the menu is an affordable mix of burgers, grilled meats, pasta and Polish dishes, plus coffee, cocktails and cheap beer. In winter, mulled wine mingles with the glowing embers in the fireplace to create a warm, intoxicating atmosphere, but you may need shades to shield yourself from the bright orange walls. In summer there is indeed a garden, though hardly a secret or even intriguing one. Overall, this is a serviceable option for food and fun in Kazimierz, but hardly one to write home about.
