Toruń's City Park is one of Poland's oldest landscape gardens, taking up a huge chunk of greenery (about 25ha) in Toruń's Bydgoskie Przedmieście district.
Established in 1817, it's home to nearly 100 species of trees and shrubs, with picturesque ponds, a cascade, and a stylised ruin that all add up to a stunning landscape. The park's southern area slopes towards the Vistula River, serving as a recreational space. A popular leisure destination, it once housed a summer restaurant seating nearly 3,000 people. Notably, the Schiller Bench, a unique monument made of gray-white marble and featuring a bronze bas-relief of the renowned German poet, Friedrich Schiller, has stood here for nearly a century.
