This charming guesthouse in the heart of Melville is named for the distinctive turret structure that dominates the front entrance to the building. The house is a local landmark and one of the oldest homes in the suburb, having been built in 1906. Located a short two-block stroll from bustling 7th Street with its many bars and restaurants, The Melville Turret is also just far enough away to mean that you can enjoy Melville's peace and quiet.
There's a choice of standard and 'budget' rooms as well as the immense 44square metre loft room which comes with the most fantastic Joburg views and its own kitchenette, lounge area and dining room. The loft is particularly popular with the guesthouse's many regular guests and early booking is highly recommended. Beyond the rooms there are plenty of places to kick back and relax with a book, including a lovely covered veranda area and the secluded guesthouse courtyard at the rear of the property.
