Bulldog Bar

*As a result of highly offensive, racist comments made publicly by the owner of this establishment, we can't endorse this bar and would encourage our readers not to support it. [Editor; July 21, 2016]

This small (and quite frankly cramped) bar/restaurant next to St. Mary's is aimed directly at British tourists. During the day it's busy and loud, but mostly civilised, as punters watch the footie while ploughing through full English breakfasts (served all day), fish and chips, BBQ ribs, burgers and beer; in the evening it's all sticky floors and shoulder-to-shoulder Jagerbombs. With a working-class aesthetic, timber on the walls, tip-proof tables and almost no closing time - this isn't your typical pub, but there is a certain comfort to its inherent 'Britishness.' We were a bit surprised to find the food better, the prices more fair and the atmosphere less 'untakeable' than expected.

I just came back from Kraków and visited this place. No racism at all and I''m of Indian descent, in fact the guy who works there called Mike was the biggest gent I''ve ever met. Is he the manager? Mike''s cool

STAY AWAY!!! They are rasist and you may be afraid about your safety, health and life maybe. Last but not least - the owner takes pictures of the guests he perceives like "dirty people" (in Polish "brudas" which is rude and rasist descriprion of anybody looking different than "normal" person according to him) and publishes in social media with rude comments. Shame!
